How the Pre-school is run
In September 2018, Woodlands Pre-school became part of Ruishton School. Since this time, Victoria Bruinsma (an Early Years Teacher (EYT)) has been employed with the responsibility of ensuring that consistently high quality Pre-School provision is delivered to all children attending Woodlands. Victoria works closely with Mrs Curry in the Reception class to develop provision across the Early Years, working towards School Readiness.
If you have any queries or concerns, please speak to either Victoria or the session supervisor in the first instance, who will strive to answer your query/ concern. If necessary or appropriate, your concern may subsequently be directed to the Headteacher, Mr Kamin.
Policies which are exclusively applicable to Woodlands can be viewed under this section of the website. Policies which have a school wide application (e.g Safeguarding) should be accessed under the Ruishton school 'Our School' tab.
We take children who are in receipt of 2yr old funding as well as welcoming children whose parents are in receipt of the 30hrs extended funding. We are also registered with several Childcare Voucher companies and are registered with the HMRC Tax Free Childcare Credits
Woodlands Pre-school is based in the grounds of Ruishton Primary School.

NB Although we are based on the school grounds, attendence to pre-school does not automatically entitle your child to a Reception place.
As a childcare provider, Woodlands Pre-School is subject to OFSTED inspection. Our OFSTED page is here.
